Is there any safe energy drink?
Dilan Jay's answer:
Let's just say this: When you're choosing an energy drink, you need to look at a couple of things:
How was the caffeine derived? How many vitamins are in this energy drink? Does it have artificial flavoring? Does it have taurine in it (really bad for your body)? Did they put ephedra in it (which they used to do in the past)? Is there added sugar? Does it have thousands, like 10,000% of B12 (which can do a lot of weird stuff to your body)? Does it have too much niacin (which will make you itch)?
See, the thing is, when you have caffeine, at some point you end up with a "net negative" when you consume an energy drink, because manufacturers don't replenish the things that you need to keep your body healthy... like your adrenals and your brain, and your nerve function and the adenosine that gets like...
So, I think at the end of the day, what you really need is an energy drink that replenishes that.
Now, I haven't seen that many, but I know that mine does that.
